This might seem like the most ridiculous thing to post about, but it really represents a huge shift for me. I have wanted braces my WHOLE life. But when you grow up poor and without parents, you don't get braces. It just doesn't happen. So yesterday when I was at the orthodontist office and she recommended that we go with traditional braces instead of invisalign so that my teeth would be straight by the wedding, I teared up a little. ME, TREANA with STRAIGHT TEETH!? Well I never.
So in 9 days I will fly back from my first big girl work trip to DC and then go get my 14 year old self the thing she always wanted: braces. :)
