Christmas Favorite

Here I am the night before my last final for the semester and I am beyond exhausted. But I am also motivated to share one of my most favorite Christmas songs ever. It moves me every time. Every time. I think the thing to remember, especially in light of the shootings in Connecticut on Friday morning, that God is already here. He is here with us. At all times. And in all ways. It's really magical. UMMM INSANE. I just went to youtube after I wrote the previous paragraph and the video I found with her song was a dedication to Newton. Okay God. I hear ya. You can stop being sooooo obvious. :)

Rosie Thomas-- O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

Lyrics:

O come, O come, Emmanuel And ransom captive Israel That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appear Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer Our spirits by Thine advent here Disperse the gloomy clouds of night And death's dark shadows put to flight Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice

O come, O come, Thou Lord of might Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height In ancient times did'st give the Law In cloud, and majesty and awe Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice

Rejoice, oh rejoice, Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel
