25 Weeks

How I’m Feeling: Uncomfortable generally, but not too awful yet.  She is becoming more and more real to me as I picture meeting her for the first time on a daily basis at this point. The swelling issue has really gotten me down lately. It's been pretty toasty here in Denver and combined with the altitude, I guess that my idea of enough water is not even close to enough. Somedays, my ankles disappear into my feet and it is scary. Belly/Weight: I have gained 23 pounds and feel good about it. The midwives have expressed some concern over me not gaining enough, but in my mind, a pound/week is pretty darn good, so I am not going to freak about it.

Life Changes: The end of house projects are near. We have finished the kitchen, the office built-ins got trimmed out this week, crown went up in all the bedrooms upstairs, and we ordered a shed. We just need to paint baby girl's room, and have the crown painted and then BAM! We are done!          for now.

Purchases? A lot! We got her dresser and crib (thanks Momma Mary) put together and most of her clothes organized from Auntie Sammie (post on that later). We also FINALLY picked out a glider recliner and it showed up yesterday and is PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fabric is so soft, the back is tall, it reclines almost all the way flat AND it glides. Sitting in it makes me picture rocking her in that chair and I just can't freaking wait!

Movement: She is getting stronger by the day and woke me up for the first time to her hard core kicking... at 4 am. The other night in the tub she started doing this hula thing across my body and I just laughed and laughed and laughed. And now I regret the encouragement because she does it all the time and it is pretty intense!

Sleep: Thumbs up lately. I have been bad about falling asleep (aka- turning off the TV...) but it's my little wind down at the end of the day.

Cravings: Fro yo with oreos and strawberries. Yum.

Exercise: Still Walking! Still haven't done my yoga DVD! Still loving my fitbit!

Favorite Pregnancy Moment this week: Having LB say that he is sorry he hasn't been more sympathetic. I am typically a go-go-go person (CLEARLY) and not being able to do all of the things that I want has been hard for me. So I push, trying to do them, and then LB thinks that I can. But I just can't. Acknowledging my own limitations and having him understand those better has been pretty awesome.

On My Mind: Learning more about natural child birth. I just finished Ina May's book and I am DYYYYYYYYYYING to start our birth class to learn more. I need strategies and notes people. NOTES! And Charts! And NOTES!
