Parenting Advice from Iyanla

I am a huge Oprah fan if that has already not been made clear by this blog. I just happen to be watching Iyanla's show fix my life where she has on an ex-husband and his ex-wife who are trying to coparent their two children. While I understand that much of what appears on the show is for television purposes, I love what was just said about parenting: when the elephants fight, the grass suffers. The children are the grass. Parents: don't fight in front of your kids. It changes who they are as people. This is rule number one in this house in the future.
