Books

Over the weekend when LB and I went camping, I read The Fault in Our Stars. To be honest, I almost stopped reading after the first chapter because it is essentially a book about a little girl who has cancer and is terminal. It's really not the sort of reading that I prefer a lot of the time. However, the book was funny. It was incredibly well written. And it was beautifully sad. Beautifully. The way that Green gets you to accept the realities of this world (NEWSFLASH: we are all going to die one day) is incredible.  Remember how much life can be lived in 16 years... don't wait to get sick to appreciate your fully functioning body.
